Is Mickleton Hills Farm an exclusive-use wedding venue?
Yes, Mickleton Hills Farm is an exclusive-use wedding venue in the heart of the Cotswolds. When you book with us, the farm is exclusively yours for the duration of your wedding weekend, with just one wedding taking place on any given weekend.
Our Wedding Weekend package gives you access from Friday arrival through to Sunday midday departure, so you can make the most of your time here without sharing the venue with other couples or events.
Friday is your time to arrive, settle in, decorate and make those final preparations ahead of your wedding on Saturday. Sunday is then a chance to enjoy a slower morning with family and friends before heading home at midday.
With 40 acres of Cotswold countryside, beautiful barns, gardens and on-site accommodation, you have plenty of space to make the farm your own and enjoy a little more time together.
How many guests can Mickleton Hills Farm accommodate?
Mickleton Hills Farm can accommodate up to 150 guests for your wedding, making it a lovely setting for everything from smaller, more intimate celebrations to larger gatherings with all your family and friends.
For overnight stays, our four on-site cottages can sleep up to 12 guests in total, including the couple. This gives your closest family and friends the opportunity to stay right here at the farm and enjoy the wedding weekend together.
We don't have a minimum guest number or minimum spend, so you can celebrate with as many or as few guests as feels right for you. Whether you're planning a more intimate gathering or a full celebration of 150, we're happy to help you make the most of the space.
What type of weddings can you have at Mickleton Hills Farm?
At Mickleton Hills Farm, we're all about giving you the freedom to celebrate your wedding in a way that feels completely your own. Set in 40 acres of beautiful Cotswold countryside, our exclusive-use venue is suited to all sorts of celebrations, from relaxed, intimate gatherings to big, full-of-life weddings with up to 150 guests.
You can choose from a range of options, including a full Wedding Weekend with your ceremony and celebrations on Saturday, or our daytime Ceremony, Cheers & Feast package.
Our barns and outdoor spaces offer plenty of flexibility, whether you're planning a traditional civil ceremony, a celebrant-led ceremony, an outdoor celebration or a day that mixes things up a little. With the freedom to choose your own caterers, suppliers, styling and timings, there's plenty of room to put your own stamp on the day.
We don't believe weddings need to follow a set formula. Whether your plans are laid-back, full of personal touches or a little different from the norm, we'd love to help you bring them to life.
Can you have an outdoor wedding ceremony at Mickleton Hills Farm?
We want you to have the exact day you've dreamed of at Mickleton Hills Farm, whether that's a ceremony surrounded by sweeping countryside views on our top lawns, tucked away in the calm and quiet of our Walled Garden, or framed by the beautiful entrance doors of our Grain Barn within our Confetti Courtyard.
All with a beautiful indoor space, our 18th Century Grain Barn for use in all weather conditions so you can marry whatever the weather.
Is Mickleton Hills Farm a barn wedding venue?
Yes! Mickleton Hills Farm is a Cotswolds barn wedding venue, set within 40 acres of beautiful Gloucestershire countryside. Our barns combine traditional character, exposed beams and beautiful stonework with the practicalities and flexibility needed to create a wedding that's completely your own.
Our 18th Century Grain Barn is home to your ceremony and evening celebrations, while our oak-framed Dining Barn provides a lovely setting for your wedding breakfast. Alongside these, you'll find our Pole Barn, Walled Garden, courtyards and open countryside, giving you plenty of choice when it comes to how and where you celebrate.
We're a little more than just a barn, though. As an exclusive-use venue, the whole farm is yours to enjoy throughout your wedding weekend, with space to bring together all the details that make your celebration yours.
What makes Mickleton Hills Farm one of the best wedding venues in The Cotswolds?
We might be a little biased, but we think there's something rather special about Mickleton Hills Farm! Set within 40 acres of beautiful Cotswold countryside, we're a family-run, exclusive-use barn wedding venue where you can make the whole farm your own.
What makes us different is the freedom we give you to create a wedding that feels completely personal. From choosing where to hold your ceremony, whether that's in our Grain Barn or Walled Garden, to bringing in your own caterers, styling and suppliers, we're here to help you create a day that feels like you, rather than fitting into someone else's idea of a wedding.
Our Wedding Weekend package also means you get more than just a wedding day. With Friday arrival, your wedding on Saturday and a relaxed Sunday morning before departure, there's more time to spend with family and friends and enjoy the farm together.
We're also incredibly proud of the lovely feedback we receive from our couples. Our Google reviews speak for themselves, with so many couples sharing their experiences of the venue, the team and the support they received along the way. For us, knowing that couples have had the wedding they've always wanted is what makes it all worthwhile.
Ultimately, we think it's the combination of the setting, the flexibility, the people and the little details that make Mickleton Hills Farm such a special place to get married.
Can we view Mickleton Hills Farm before booking?
Of course! Our viewings are bespoke just like our weddings are and are focused entirely on you and your love story. You can book a viewing here.
We always encourage couples to visit as many wedding venues as they can before making a decision. Choosing your venue is such a big part of wedding planning, and we think it's really important that you find somewhere that feels just right for you and the day you've imagined. Of course, we'd absolutely love that place to be Mickleton Hills Farm, but we want you to feel completely confident that you've made the right choice.
And your first visit certainly doesn't have to be your last! There are plenty of opportunities to come back and see the venue throughout your planning journey, whether you'd like to revisit the spaces, talk through ideas or simply get a better feel for how everything will come together. We're always happy to welcome you back.
How far in advance should we book a Cotswolds wedding venue?
There isn't a one-size-fits-all answer, but as a general guide, we'd recommend looking at wedding venues around 18–24 months before your preferred wedding date, particularly if you have a specific Saturday or time of year in mind. Popular dates, especially during the spring and summer months, can book up well in advance.
That said, it's never too early (or too late!) to get in touch. We regularly welcome couples planning further ahead, as well as those looking for a date sooner. We also have weddings booked within shorter timeframes, so it's always worth asking what's available.
If you have your heart set on a particular date, we'd suggest arranging viewings sooner rather than later. You can find our current available dates by getting in touch with our team, and we'd love to show you around the farm.
What is a wedding weekend package?
A wedding weekend package gives you more time to enjoy your wedding celebrations, rather than everything being squeezed into just one day. At Mickleton Hills Farm, our Wedding Weekend package gives you exclusive use of the farm from Friday arrival through to Sunday midday departure, with your wedding taking place on Saturday.
Friday is your chance to arrive, settle in, decorate and make those final preparations, with our team on hand to help. Saturday is all about your wedding, with the barns, gardens and grounds exclusively yours to enjoy. Sunday is then a chance to take things a little slower, spend some final time together and enjoy a relaxed morning before heading home at midday.
It's a lovely way to turn your wedding into a proper occasion, giving you more time with the people you love and the chance to enjoy every part of the experience without feeling rushed.
Can we hire Mickleton Hills Farm for an entire wedding weekend?
Three-day wedding weekends are our bread and butter! In fact, they're quite literally the foundation of Mickleton Hills Farm, and we're so pleased to be able to share this way of celebrating with our couples.
Our Wedding Weekend package gives you exclusive use of the farm from Friday arrival through to Sunday midday departure, with your wedding taking place on Saturday. Rather than everything being squeezed into one day, you have time to settle in, prepare, celebrate and enjoy those extra moments with the people who matter most.
It's a way of celebrating that we've built the farm around, and we wouldn't have it any other way!
How long can we stay at Mickleton Hills Farm for our wedding?
Included in your Wedding Weekend package is a two-night stay in Wool Store, our honeymoon cottage, sleeping two guests. You'll have the cottage for both Friday and Saturday nights, giving you somewhere lovely to retreat to after all the excitement of your wedding day.
Our other three cottages can also be booked separately, subject to availability, sleeping an additional 10 guests in total. They're often available for independent stays too, so do get in touch if you're looking for a little countryside escape in our quiet corner of the Cotswolds.
We're also incredibly lucky to be surrounded by some wonderful places to stay, from luxury hotels and spas to characterful Airbnbs and more unusual countryside retreats. Whether you're looking for somewhere for additional guests or planning a little minimoon after the wedding, there are some lovely options close by.
